The last time we touched base with Kroniic, we discovered that he is one part of a musical duo (The Roniics) that artistically merges Rap, RnB, Electro, Jazz and Afro into one sound. Passion and dedication to his craft come as second nature to him. Following the release of their hit single, 15 Shots, the duo has gone on to extensively expand their repertoire. They are currently working on exciting new visuals and projects. Their music has moved beyond to continental borders of Africa and ventured into the precincts of their global fans. Today we interviewed with Kroniic (Kabelo Mokwena) as we gained deeper insight into him and his post-15-Shots life!

What has he been up to following the release of the single 15 Shots!
“Kroniic has been chilled since da release the song (15 Shots). The song has made rounds in cities all around the world including Egypt, China and Istanbul to name a few.”
“I've been plannin’ to drop an EP to keep people fresh minded during quarantine and ii designed a clothing brand that’s gone drop under my entertainment business.”
The story behind the EP
The EP will be titled TTWNT. Meaning the things we never tell. It is basically an explanation of what ii went through as a teenage father and leavin’ home at 16. The EP was inspired by how ii managed to cope and carry myself, being able to do wonders through music.
The artistic vibe of the EP
“Its going to be totally different and new ‘cause on this EP, everyone will be able to vibe and connect with the lyrics and meaning of the songs. With all da genres in one.”
He is about to drop a brand new Fashion Brand!
“The clothing brand was inspired by how black people are being treated with a different perspective in every state of the country. The brand would be speaking on behalf of the voiceless in da entertainment business. It will be helping talented youth to grow.”
Why is Kroniic passionate about helping talented youth rise?
“Because the youth is the future of our generation and it consists of future leaders who need help balancing their talent.”
What he would say to his younger self
“The game does not end but it expands, and uu hv to be vigilant ‘cause time evolves, it does not resolve.”
What the future holds for Kroniic
“…ii think the future holds greatness fr me not just in music but in everythin’ ii do.”
His message to artists who were set back by Covid-19
“No matter what uu go through uu can always cross a broken bridge using ur mentality n not someone's plan.”
